About Punchline Monkey
Punchline Monkey started with one simple truth: sometimes laughter is the only thing that keeps us going. As a mom of four, psychologist, and AuDHD woman myself, I know how messy, exhausting, and unpredictable life can be. Humor has always been my survival tool and Punchline Monkey is my way of turning that survival tool into something bigger.
Here, you’ll find designs full of puns, wordplay, and cheeky fun. They’re colorful, a little rebellious, and never boring, just like the people who wear them. But Punchline Monkey is more than just merch. It’s also my way of funding something very close to my heart: raising awareness for people with adhd and/or autism. Too many women and families live in silence, misunderstood or overlooked. My projects, from writing my book to building a blog and community, aim to change that.
So when you pick up a Punchline Monkey shirt, mug, or hoodie, you’re not only adding humor to your day. You’re also helping build visibility, awareness, and acceptance for neurodivergent minds. Together, we prove that being different doesn’t mean being less, it means being brilliantly, wildly human.
Behind Punchline Monkey
Hi, I’m Liz Mary. Behind Punchline Monkey there’s not just a shop, but also a woman who carries a lot of responsibility in everyday life. Between raising four kids, working as a psychologist, and navigating life with AuDHD, there are days when the weight feels heavy.
This space - creating designs, playing with humor, colors and words - is my outlet. It’s where I can breathe, where I don’t have to carry everything alone. It’s my way of expressing myself, finding balance, and reminding myself that joy and lightness still have a place, even in the middle of chaos.
For me, Punchline Monkey is more than advocacy or awareness. It’s also a source of meaning and fun, a little rebellion against the seriousness of everyday life, and a way to reconnect with creativity that fuels me.
About Camouflaged
Alongside Punchline Monkey, I also write a Substack blog called Camouflaged – a space dedicated to AuDHD women, their untold stories, and the hidden struggles behind everyday life. On the blog, I explore topics like late diagnosis, masking and unmasking, parenting neurodivergent kids, and the search for an authentic identity after years of blending in.
Camouflaged is more than just writing. It’s part memoir, part psychology, and part community – weaving personal experiences with professional insights. If you’re looking for an AuDHD blog that combines science, lived experience, and honesty, this is the place. It’s where I share not only my own journey, but also resources and reflections to help other neurodivergent women feel seen, understood, and less alone.
